First-world challenges ahead!

So I have a few problems I'm facing down this weekend, and I hope I can overcome them all! None of them will be easy to beat, and combined they are almost assuredly impossible to handle, but I must try.

No, there is no try. There is only Do or Do Not!

You see, "Storm Legion", the first expansion for Rift launches next week. My goal is to step foot into the new lands that come with this expansion alongside My Lovely Bride™, but there's a couple of issues currently preventing that:

1. She isn't at level cap yet, even though she's had an active account for nearly a year.
2. She hasn't played in months, although keeps saying she wants to play when the weather gets bad, which it is now, but she has yet to spend any real time in the game recently.
3. Worst of all, it's her birthday on Sunday.

So due to the above-mentioned issues, I don't think we can level her main, a Marksman-based Rogue, to cap this weekend. Which means we won't be able to start the "Storm Legion" content together, which will make her even less likely to play the game in the future. Which really sucks, because I have paid her account up until January 2014, if I recall.

We managed to get her character respecced last weekend, and she set up her taskbars how she likes them again (with the new abilities added in), but that was all. She's sitting at level 47, and if we could actually get some playtime in, I know we could get her to 50 in no time at all... I just have to get her logged in for a decent amount of time, not an easy thing.

My plan is to level her up to 48 in Stillmoor, then take her directly to Ember Isle (Do not pass Go, do not collect $200!). With my decently-geared 50 (who can solo mobs on EI just fine, thank you) assisting her, we will be able to level her up to 50 quite quickly once on the Isle. The quests there give a huge amount of experience, being meant for level 50's, so I see no reason we can't rush her through the last two levels to cap in no time at all this way!

... I just have to get My Lovely Bride™ logged into the game for a few hours or so, to pull this off! My hope is to do this Saturday evening, then spend Sunday enjoying her birthday celebration (which is to say, doing whatever she wants, with no football watched at all). But I doubt we'll manage to get it done.

You don't know my wife. She loves Rift, but hates the crowds on our server (Wolfsbane). So I suggested we move to another, less occupied server, but that's a lot of bother, in her estimation. She'd rather just play later in the evening, when less people are online... but then she goes to bed and sleeps instead.

If I didn't already shave my head, it would be enough to make me rip my hair out in frustration!

Regardless, if it means I transfer our characters to Shatterbone myself, so we can play without my wife feeling crowded, that is exactly what I will do!
