It appears that circumstances have changed to some degree, and the weekend before Halloween is again open, having been previously scheduled for Samhain (which will now be on Nov. 1st). This means Horrorfest 2008 is again a possibility, if people would like to take part.
I'm assuming this is a foregone conclusion, but I have to ask.
Now if folks would like to embrace their inner zombie again this year, please let me know via the usual methods (the Forum, MySpace, e-mail, phone, carrier pidgeon, smoke signals, et al). I also need to know what you folks would prefer to play this year, if anything.
That's right, this could be the first Horrorfest without any roleplaying!
Why, you ask? Simple: Horrorfest is getting to be a rather large event, and with so many people wanting to be a part of the game, it makes handling those players rather unwieldy. It can still be done, but we may need to be a bit flexible, or just play something else. Horror-based board games, card games, that sort of thing. But my preference would be to roleplay, of course.
Being that this is pretty much a last-minute decision in regards to having a Horrorfest this year (if we indeed have one), I have not been able to pre-plan anything as of yet. We have no location (anyone willing to volunteer their house?), no game (as of yet), not even thoughts on food (potluck barbeque, anyone?). So suggestions and/or volunteers would be appreciated, if we're going to do this.
